Macelleria Bondi

This one is a shout out to all the haloumi lovers out there. Behold, I have the ultimate cheap and quick eats for you. With the option to dine in or grab on the go – Macelleria Bondi has the perfect burger for you. Located on Campbell Parade in the heart of Bondi, Macelleria lives and is essentially a butcher that cooks for you (but with vegetarian options).

Macelleria is known for it’s premium quality meats. The shop is set out as a butcher, offering extensive ranges of steaks, lamb, chicken, salads and house made specialty sauces. On top of this, Macelleria has an insanely mouth-drooling burger menu. You can get nine different choices of beef burgers, four types of chicken, and of course my favourite… the haloumi burger.

This haloumi burger is simply the most insane one I’ve ever tried – and I have tried A LOT of haloumi burgers! The burger is stacked with a thick piece of haloumi steak, grilled mushroom, mozzarella, roasted eggplant, beetroot salsa, lettuce and Macelleria’s secret sauce. If you really want to be good, you can get the contents of the burger bun free too!

This feed will set you back $15.90. A price I believe is a bargain after you see the size of the thing. Be sure to get some napkins and really involve yourself in this revolutionary cheese experience.
